With an average annual temperature of 78 degrees and ample Florida sunshine, this enviable sub- tropical climate provides an ideal environment for year-round outdoor aquatic fun. The Island is a family sanctuary featuring great snorkeling, pathways, overnight camping and swimming. Best ways to get over are via water taxi stops from nearby Sailfish Marina or Riviera Beach Marina - or anchor your boat right along the shoreline. Take a tour of the John F. Kennedy Bunker, a historical reminder of the Cold War of the 60s.

What a better way to spend the day then learning about sea turtles, all while playing in the surf and sand. Give or take a few thousand years, sea turtles have made their way to our beaches to nest. See them up close as the Park is home to Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Coral Cove Park

One of our more northern beaches in the county and one cannot be missed. If you enjoy a quieter beach but still want the benefit of great snorkeling and paddleboarding, this is the place. Right at the shore to several hundred yards out - just look for the darker shapes in the water - it is the rocks around which the fish swim.
